Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the commutating circuit by a method wherein the invertor circuit is inversely biased by means of the negative energy stored in the commutating reactor discharging the electrostatic energy stored in the commutating capacitor. CONSTITUTION:In case of commutating the inverse circuit 2, the electrostatic energy stored in the commutating capacitor 12 is discharged into the commutating reactor 14 with the solid switching element 11 turned off and the discharge control switch 13 made conductive. When the voltage of the commutating capacitor 12 is discharged making itself a little negative, the invertor circuit 2 is supplied with the inverse bias current generated by the negative energy stored in the commutating reactor 14 through the intermediary of the discharge preventing diode 15. Through these procedures, the commutating circuit may be miniaturized resulting in price cutting.
