Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the liquid-leakage resistance of a small sealed battery by forming a cylindrical gasket with a closed bottom through injection molding before an opening is provided in the bottom, and by making the flat and the cylindrical surfaces of the gasket smooth. CONSTITUTION:A positive mixture 2 made of silver oxide or the like, a separator 6, and a negative mixture 5 made of zinc or the like are placed in a positive can 1. After that, a negative can 4 is placed on the mixture 5, with a gasket 3 interposed between the can 1 and the can 4, to hermetically seal the battery, thus a small sealed battery being constituted. Here, the whole surfaces of the flat and the cylindrical parts of the gasket 3 and a gasket 31 are made smooth. The gasket 31, which has a cylindrical shape with a closed bottom, is formed by injection molding before the bottom is provided with an opening by means of cutters A and A'. It is preferable that a gate B which is used during the former injection molding and is provided at the bottom of the gasket 31, and a resin reservoir are removed during the former punching work.
