Abstract

PURPOSE:To catch the tensile load of a seat belt at the time of the collision of a car body directly with the car body side, by making latching engagement with the belt guide of the seat belt with a coupling frame fixed to the car body. CONSTITUTION:The lower end 24 of a belt guide 20 is fixed to the adjusting rail 42 of the seat sliding mechanism 44 of a seat 40, and the belt guide 20 is adjusted in its position longitudinally together with the seat 40. A coupling hole 23 is made in the central portion of the belt guide 20 so as to make latching engagement with the claw 31 of a coupling frame 32 fixed to the side wall 45 of a car body. The claw 31 is covered with a cover 35 and does not couple with the hole 23 in a normal condition. When the tensile force of a belt 15 acts on the guide 20 by a collision or the like, the guide 20 bends the cover 35, and the claw 31 is engaged with the hole 23.
