PURPOSE:To move a hatch panel securely by a method wherein a plurality of hatch panels can be sequentially stocked by traveling a truck, and a rack engaging with a pinion for traveling the truck is stably clamped by the pinion and a predetermined clamping member. CONSTITUTION:When a motor is driven and the pinion 10 is rotated, wheels 5 of the truck 4 ascend along a sloped surface 18 of a recessed part 17 formed at rails 8. Simultaneously with the ascending movement, the upper surface of the truck 4 is inclined, a bent part having a overlapping piece 3 projected therefrom enters a part below an upper surface of an adjacent hatch panel 2, and as the truck 4 travels, the ruck 4 is stocked in the adjacent hatch panel 2. The stocking in the adjacent hatch panel is sequentially repeated, and a ship's hold 1 is opened. The rack 9 is clamped between the pinion 10 and the clamping member 16 fixed to a bearing arm of the pinion 10, whereby the opening of the hold 1 is performed smoothly.
