Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce drying time and to increase the speed of developing by disposing water absorbing rollers connected with an air suction mechanism within a drying part. CONSTITUTION:Water absorbing rollers 18, 19 consist of cylindrical bodies 22 which have numerous gaps and of which the space parts 22a formed internally through these gaps are communicated with the outside, respectively. The rollers 18, 19 are connected to an air suction pump 28 which is an air suction mechanism via respective flexible pipes 27. These water absorbing rollers are disposed in a drying part, and are held in contact respectively with the emulsion surface and base surface of the film which is fed into the drying part through a conveying path after it is developed. If the device is formed in this way, the water absorbing rollers suck the warm air in the drying part and maintain a dry state at all times. The drying time is reduced and the developing speed is increased.
