Abstract

PURPOSE:To lead out a horizontal and a vertical blanking signal from external terminals provided to a circuit block of an integrated circuit, etc., by applying a flyback pulse to the external terminals through external resistances. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal flyback pulse VD is applied to a terminal 17 and a voltage Vc clipped by a clipping diode 14 is developed at a terminal 15. On the other hand, a vertical blanking signal is applied to a terminal 19, so a blanking transistor (TR)13 turns off during the period to develop the base voltage VCC= R6/(R5+R6) of a TR9. Therefore, a voltage obtained by superposing the vertical blanking pulse upon the clipped waveform of the horizontal flyback pulse VD is developed at the terminal 15 and used as a horizontal and a vertical blanking signal for a video amplification stage. The horizontal blanking signal appears at the output terminal 20 of a comparator 1, and thus horizontal blanking in an IC block is achieved.
