Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the loading mechanism for a tape and to suppress the increase in the tension upon the tape by installing a control head in a cylinder, and forming a full width reasing head and an audio head into a composite head. CONSTITUTION:A control head 25 is installed in a stationary cylinder part 17, and an erasing, recording and reproducing head group for voices in a composite head is disposed as a composite head 26 in the full width erasing head position of the prior art. A pad 28 which presses a magnetic tape 5 from its rear surface to the head 26 with prescribed pressing force is adhered to a pressing arm which is freely turnable around a turning fulcrum shaft 9 so that it sandwiches the tape 5 with the head 26 by the pressing force in an arrow (d) direction developed by the energizing force of a spring 10. Since the tape is pressed directly to the gap surface of the head, the head touch is extremely stable.
