Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a film, capable of setting the specific resistance of a composition easily in a specific range with high reproducibility, and having improved thickness accuracy, by mixing two kinds of polyesters having a specific resistance in a specified range.
CONSTITUTION: A polyester composition, having a specific resistance of 6.0× 106W5.0×108Ω-cm, preferably 4.0×107W5.0×108Ω-cm, and prepared by mixing (A) a polyester having a specific resistance at 285°C in the range of 6.0×106W 6.0×108Ω-cm with (B) a polyester having a specific resistance in the range of 6.0×107W6.0×109Ω-cm a weight ratio between the components (A) and (B) of 0.05W20. The polyester having a specific resistance in the given range contained in the components (A) and (B) can be obtained at a high reproducibility and the polyester having a specific resistance beyond the range can also be easily prepared. The mixing of both stably provides the aimed polyester having a specific resistance in a given range which cannot be directly prepared with ease due to the wide range of variation in the specific resistance.
