Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out granulation with good particle size districution by supplying air to a granulating chamber from the lower part thereof while a porous plate at the inner bottom of said granulating chamber to form an air stream on the porous plate in a centrifugal or a rotary direction.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary porous plate 7 is provided in a granulating chamber 1 so as to approch the peripheral flange part thereof to the inner periphery of the bottom part of said granulating chamber 1 and, while this perforated plate 7 is rotated, hot air or a hot gas is supplied from small pores 24 of said plate 7 to form a flowing gas stream rotating toward a centrifugal or a rotary direction at a high speed. In this condition, a binder solution is sprayed to the powder in the granulating chamber 1 from a nozzle 15 provided to the upper part thereof and, after powder particles are coagulated with liquid droplets, granulation is further carried out. As described above, granulation is carried out efficiently without generating irregularity in particle size distribution.
