Abstract
PURPOSE: To form a water-insoluble polymer coating layer by a method wherein the aluminum product being under an active condition through oxidation treatment at an anode is treated with an acidic liquid, and immersed in latex containing polymer particles charged negatively without being washed by water.
CONSTITUTION: The anode oxidation aluminum product with surface structure being under the active condition is immersed previously in the acidic liquid, pH thereof is 3.0 or lower, aluminum oxide is dissolved and aluminum ions are made present on the surface of an oxide film. The product is immersed in a polymer latex bath having the polymer particles charged at negative, the polymer particles are deposited on the surface of the oxide film by ionic bondlike attraction among the aluminum ions on the surface of the oxide film and the polymer particles charged at negative, and the water-insoluble polymer coating layer fast stuck strongly on the surface of the oxide film is formed by said ionic bondlike bonding power.
