Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of noise due to water current overflowing sluice gate, by a method wherein, in a low position situated in a level being lower than half a height of a sluice gate is pivotably secured to a sluice gate retainer secured to a bottom of a path and within a range of an upstream side. CONSTITUTION:In case a water current overflows an upper end of a sluice gate 1 and water is discharged in a downstream direction, a discharge current forms a water current along a surface of a gate 2, tilting downstream ward, of the sluice gate 1 and an a direction of an arrow mark F1 to flow down to a water surface W of a downstream side and is prevented from beating the water surface W. In case the sluice gate 2 tilts to the upstream side centering around pins 4, 4 acting as an axis for opening to discharge water, a water discharge forms a water current in a direction of an arrow mark F2, and water is discharged to the water surface W of the downstream side, which results in preventing water current from beating the water surface W. The lower end part of the sluice gate 2 turns centering around the pins 4, 4 to release it, and this causes pebbles 7 piled up at an upstream side to flow down to a downstream side.
