PURPOSE:To connect dummy bars in a continuous casting device for twin blooms and triple blooms automatically and surely to chanin-like bodies and to improve the efficiency of continuous casting work by incorporating an upward insertion system by specific construction for said dummy bars. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of casting two pieces of blooms continuously and simultaneously with a continuous casting device for twin blooms, in an ingot conveying route consisting of many rolls 37 right under a mold 36, a backing plate 38 is mounted at the position facing the working rods 10 of the operating bodies 6 of chain-like bodies 2, 3 connecting to dummy bars 1.
