Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate a plurality of antigens (antibodies) with only one testing, by incorporating different dyes into a core material of a microcapsule, combining different antigens (antibodies) with the outer walls of respective capsules separately and mixing these capsules for use. CONSTITUTION:By incorporating dyes and fluorescent dyestuffs having different colors into a biochemically inactive substance, such as oil or fat, as a core material, a microcapsule having a functional group such as NH2 or OH in its wall material is prepared. To the respective capsules antigens (antibodies) are combined separately through glutaraldehyde, etc., to obtain sensitized capsules. By adding a specimen in a test tube containing at the same time a plurality of different, capsules to react with an antibody (antigen) in said specimen and by measuring chromatic light emitted from the agglutination products using filters in responce to the respective colors, a plurality of antigens (antibodies) are discriminated with one testing. Thus it is possible to identify e.g., a type of influenza, hepatitis, etc., with one testing.
