CONSTITUTION:A standing wave ratio detecting circuit 8 is provided on a connecting line between a transmitter 1 and an antenna tuner 3 matching an antenna 2, and an output voltage of the circuit 8 is applied to a minimum point detecting circuit 22 and a pulse width modulating circuit 26. An output signal of a pulse width modulation circuit is applied to a driving circuit 29 via a motor switching circuit 27, motors 14 and 15 are driven to control the value of matching elements 6 and 7 of the antenna tuner 3. A minimum point detecting circuit 22 switches a switching circuit 27 every time the minimum point of the standing wave ratio is detected to select a drive motor and the direction of rotation. Since a pulse width modulation circuit 26 outputs a signal with a width corresponding to the standing wave ratio, the voltage applied to the motors 14 and 15 is decreased with the reduction in the standing wave ratio and the motors 14 and 15 are finally stopped.
