Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable automation of adjustment, testing, and inspection, by a method wherein a pulse motor is controlled by means of a television camera, acting as a detector, to regulate a variable element. CONSTITUTION:A self-adjusting tester consists of an oscilloscopic cathoderay tube surface 1, a measuring television camera 2, a variable element 3, a pulse motor 4, etc. In case a distance l0-3 between X addresses X0 and X3 is adjusted into a preset distance ls, points X0 and X3, where a Y address yn and a sine wave cross each other, are first found from an output signal from a camera 2. This finds l0-3=x3-x0 to compare with a l set beforehand, and a rotation direction, a speed and an angle of a motor 4 are controlled and the variable element 3 is adjusted by the result. If the adjustment results indicate that a difference between the l0-3 and the ls is within an allowable range, the motor 4 suspends running to find the l0-3 again, and adjustment is completed after it is verified that it is within the allowable range. This constitution permits the automation of adjustment, testing, and inspection.
