Abstract

PURPOSE: Polyhydroxy compound, of which a part is replated with a specific polymer polyol, a polyisocyanate, a catalyst and a foaming agent are used to produce the titled polyurethane foam that has fine and uniform cells and continuous pores.
CONSTITUTION: When urethane foam is produced using (A) polyhydroxy compound such as alkylene oxide addition polymer having active hydrogens such as polyethylene glycol, (B) an organic polyisocyanate such as 2,4-toluene diisocyanate, (C) a catalyst such as M-methylmorpholine and (D) a foaming agent such as a combination of water and halogenated alkane, a polymer polyol that is obtained by grafting an ethylenically unsaturated monomer such as acrylonitrile onto compound A is added, e.g., by 5W50wt% based on compound A.
EFFECT: The resultant foam is free from shrinkage and deformation and has high mechanical properties and adhesion to a substance with a flat surface.
