Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled molding material having various long-acting functions such as deodorization, sterilization, prevention of getting moldy, removal of algae, keeping of freshness, etc., and suitable for sideboards, wardrobes, refrigerators, ice boxes, etc., by supporting chlorine dioxide to a molding and supporting material.
CONSTITUTION: The objective molding material is prepared by supporting chlorine dioxide (preferably stabilized chlorine dioxide or its combination with bleaching powder, hypochlorous acid, etc.) to a molding and supporting material (e.g. an acrylic polymer such as sodium acrylate polymer, zeolite, etc.) by impregnation, spreading or mixing. The above active agent such as chlorine dioxide may be encapsulated with a film-forming material such as carboxymethyl cellulose, etc., and supported to the supporting material.
