Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a molten-salt fuel cell system which has excellent responsibility, high efficiency and long life by providing a carbon-dioxide storing device in a stream exhausted from a negative electrode, and by refluxing the former stream into a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:A carbon dioxide storing device consisting of a carbon dioxide absorbing container 201 is provided at the point where a pressed oxidant (air) stream 203 and an exhaust stream 202 exhausted from a negative electrode join. At the starting point of a fuel cell or when the output of the cell is required to rise rapidly, the passage of the exhaust stream 202 supplied to the absorbing container 201 is blocked. At the same time, the pressed oxidant (air) stream 203 is supplied so as to make carbon dioxide absorbed by the container 201 to be desorbed and added to an oxidant (air) supplying stream 204, which is supplied to a positive electrode, thereby making a large amount of carbon dioxide to be obtained temporarily.
