Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent electrophotographic receptor by coating an electrically conductive transparent substrate with brominated polyvinylcarbazole using halogenated polycarbonate or a composition contg. it as a binder. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive transparent film formed by sputtering Pd on a biaxially stretched polyester film is coated with a soln. consisting of brominated polyvinylcarbazole as a photoconductor, halogenated polycarbonate and epoxy resin as a binder, and an org. solvent to form a photoconductive layer. Thus, a transparent electrophotographic receptor is obtd. By making use of the binder contg. halogenated polycarbonate, the compatibility of brominated polyvinylcarbazole with the binder is improved, and the resulting receptor has superior transparencey, sensitivity and durability.
