Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high voltage and a large current by connecting diodes in parallel to diodes connected between the bases of complementary transistors and the output terminal of an operational amplifier so that both the diodes differ in polarity.
CONSTITUTION: Diodes D3 and D4 are connected in parallel to diodes D1 and D2 connected between the output terminal of an operational amplifier U and the bases of complementary transistors (TR)Q1 and Q2. In this case, the diodes D3 and D4 differ in polarity from the diodes D3 and D4. When the TRQ1 is on and the Q2 is off, a current flowing through a resistance R1 decreases according to an increase in output voltage and the base current of the TRQ1 is ceased eventually. When the output voltage of the amplifier U further rises, the diode D3 turns on to compensate a deficiency in the base current of the TRQ1. Consequently, the output current of the amplifier becomes the base currents of the TRs Q1 and Q2 efficiently. Therefore, large currents are led out of the TRs Q1 and Q2.
