Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce influences of a cable between an outdoor and an indoor unit by changing an output signal from the outdoor unit into a signal of the narrow band of the VHF, by providing the outdoor unit with a channel-selector and mixer part of an SHF receiver for satellite boardcasting. CONSTITUTION:The outdoor unit 2' of an SHF receiver for satellite broadcasting is provided with the 1st mixer 7 which converts a received signal of the SHF band into the 1st IF signal of the UHF band as well as the 2nd mixer 22 which selects a desired channel signal from the 1st IF signal, a BPF24, etc. The output of the 2nd IF amplifier 25 in this circuitry is applied via a coaxial cable 3 to the 2nd IF amplifier 31 of an indoor unit 4' and then demodulated by an FM demodulator 32 to output a video signal 5. A different RF modulted wave from an RF modulator 35 by a voltage applied to the selection swich 33 of the unit 4' is applied via the cable 3 to a demodulator 27, whose output controls a variable local oscillator 23 to select a desired channel. Then, a signal sent to the cable 3 is changed into a signal of the narrow band of the VHF.
