Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. having low rolling resistance and excellent wear resistance and bracking performance on wetted roads, by using a stylene/butadiene copolymer rubber having a relatively high 1,2-bonded with content and a low polymerized styrene content as a main raw rubber material.
CONSTITUTION: 10W80wt% styrene/butadiene copolymer rubber (A) contg. 10W 20wt% polymerized styrene and 40W70wt% 1,2-bonded butadiene, is mixed with 90W20wt% at least one rubber (B) selected from natural rubber and synthetic diene rubbers. Carbon black, a process oil, sulfur, a vulcanization accelerator, etc. are added to the above mixed rubber to obtain the desired rubber compsn. for tire tread. Examples of said synthetic diene rubbers of component B are polybutadiene rubber having a 1,2-bonded unit content of 20% or below and polyisoprene rubber having a cis-1,4 bonded unit content of 90% or above.
