Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a compsn. which is useful for automobiles, household appliances, building materials, etc. and in which rigidity is improved without greatly lowering impact resistance, by blending an inorg. filler and a resin having a functional group having an affinity for said inorg. filler, with a polycarbonate. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polycarbonate, 0.1-80pts.wt. inorg. filler such as calcium carbonate or talc, and 0.1-30pts.wt. resin having a functional group in the molecule (said group having an affinity for (said inorg. filler) such as an unsaturated acid-modified polypropylene or polyvinyl alcohol, are blended together. The mixture is kneaded to produce the titled compsn. This compsn. is pelletized and then molded by injection molding, extrusion, pressure molding, etc.
