Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance erosion resistance of a steam turbine moving blade by forming the surface layer of the front flange part of a blade by forming the surface layer of the front flange part of a blade leading end from Cr-Ni stainless steel containing a predetermined amount of Mn as well as free from ferrite phase and having ε phase or austenite phase.
CONSTITUTION: At least the surface layer of the erosion damage receiving part of the front flange part of a blade leading end is formed by soldering or welding an erosion shield plate comprising alloied steel containing, on the wt% basis, 0.2 or less C, 2 or less Si, 10W20 Cr, 0.5W10.2 Ni, 20 or less Mn, according to necessity, one or more of 0.2W0.3 N, 0.01W0.1 Nb, 0.5W5 Co and the remainder substantially Fe or 2 or less Mo. In this case C forms phase or austenite phase along with Mn, Ni to enhance erosion resistance. When Nb or Co is added further, erosion resistance is further improved. In addition, durability of this steel is lower than that of SUS304 or the like and this steel is especially suitable for a fusion bond layer of build up welding because excellent in preventing crack or deformation.
