Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the air-fuel ratio of mixture supplied to the engine upon deceleration becoming too rich by a method wherein a standard fuel supplying amount is corrected to decrease it when the decelerating operation of the engine is effected while the engine is cooled and the increased amount of the fuel is being supplied to the engine for warm-up. CONSTITUTION:The control system comprises a CPU51, a memory ROM52, RAM53, 54, an A/D converter 55 having a multiplexer and an I/O device 56 having a buffer memory while those of the equipments are connected each other through a common path 57. The CPU51 calculates the suction air volume per one stroke of the engine by the flow amount of air detected by an air flow meter 15 and the revolving number of the engine detected by a revolving number senser 29 in accordance with a program, and calculates the average value of the suction air volume at every given period also. On the other hand, the CPU51 decides whether the engine is being operated to decelerate it or not by the comparison of this average value with a present suction air volume and the standard fuel supplying amount is corrected to decrease it in accordance therewith.
