Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the vapor lock effectively by a method wherein fuel in a fuel supplying path is removed when a fuel temperature has become higher than a predetermined value after stopping an engine while the fuel is recirculated and the temperature thereof is lowered upon restarting. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic valve 13, controlling the passage of the fuel, is interposed in a bypass path 12 connected between the fuel supplying path 8 and a fuel returning path 10. The solenoid of this electromagnetic valve 13 is connected to the OFF contact 15a of an ignition switch 15 and an electric source 19 through a thermo-switch 14 attached to a ramificated path 9. The motor of a fuel pump 2 is connected to the electric source 19 through the START contact 15b of the ignition switch 15. When the engine is stopped and the temperature of the ramificated path 9 is higher than a predetermined value, the thermo- switch 14 is closed and the electromagnetic valve 13 is operated. According to this operation, the fuel supplying path 8 and the returning path 10 are bypassed by a bypass path 12 and the fuel in the supplying path 8 is returned to the fuel tank 1.
