Consequently, the plane plate 22 descends as ink inside the ink accommodating bag 1 is depleted, and at the same time, an arm 20 moves to a lower position shown by dotted lines in the figure. By this, a permanent magnet 19 fixed to the arm 20 also moves to a position 19', and a reed switch 23 adjoining thereto is turned on, a light emitting diode 25 serially connected thereto is impressed with a drive voltage and the light emitting diode 25 lights and the user is able to detect that the residual quantity of ink becomes small by seeing the lit diode.
