Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve water resistance and durability of a tank and obtain its mounting construction with excellent self-extinguishability, by forming an unvalcanized molded sheet material from reclaimed rubber and inorganic filler and interposing the unvalcanized molded sheet material between the fuel tank and a car body or belt-shaped member. CONSTITUTION:A fuel tank 6 is mounted to a car body 1 by a band 4, and unvalcanized molded sheet material 7 are interposed between the fuel tank 6 and the car body 1 and the fuel tank 6 and the band 4. The unvalcanized molded sheet material 7 consists of reclaimed rubber of waste tires and inorganic filler of aluminum hydroxides, and is provided with self-extinguishability. As compared with felt impregnated with asphalt, water resistance and durability can be improved.
