Abstract

PURPOSE:To maintain quality and performance of an instrument pannel for a longer time by securing the front end of a pad to the pannel via flanges formed from the skin thereof. CONSTITUTION:The front end 6 of an instrument pad D, engaged with a groove 8, is fixed to an instrument pannel P by inserting flanges 10 which is formed from the skin 9 of the instrument pad through engagement holes 8a formed through the groove 8 and then making projections 11 on the rear face of the instrument pannel P pass through locking holes 10a formed through the flanges 10, respectively for locking. The instrument pad D is formed by bonding the skin 9 and a pad 12 which is preformed. There is no chance that the front end skin of the instrument pad may tend to come out above the instrument pad even though the skin thereof becomes ready to separate.
