Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtin smooth combustion through stabilizing ignition and flames by providing a baffle and a burner tile. CONSTITUTION:Pulverized coal is supplied through a supplying pipe 1, dispersed and jetted radially in several jets from an injection head 2 into a burner tile 6. Combustible air is jetted from the air injection holes 5, 5', 5''... of the baffle 4 through an air supply passage 3. The current of pulverized coal collides with the air current and they are mixed with each other and burn. In this manner, since the inner part of the burner tile 6 is kept at a high temperature by providing the baffle 4 and the burner tile 6, ignition and flame holding are conducted steadily to make smooth combustion. Such hazards that unburning pulverized coal is heaped in a furnace and burns simultaneously to cause explosion can be prevented.
