Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the replacement of a condensor and to unnecessitate a cover for a casing by forming a motor mounting base in a box shape defining therein a space in which the condensor is disposed and fixed so as to effectively utilize the interior space of the mounting base.
CONSTITUTION: A mounting base 24 is formed in a box shape having an opening portion 24a defined in one of lateral walls of the mounting base 24. A starting condensor 25 is fixed to a mounting plate 26 by means of bolts or etc. within the mounting base 24. Further, an inspection cover 30 is removably attached to the mounting base 24 through a packing gasket 31 by means of bolts 32. A power supply lead wire 33 is connected to a terminal board 27 of a motor as in the conventional manner. With this arrangement, when the condensor is to be removed, it can be easily taken out by sliding the mounting palte 26, after the terminal of the lead wire 33 is desconnected by accessing through the opening portion 24a which is opened by removing the cover 30 with the bolts 32 being untightened. Further, the interior space of the mounting base can be effectively utilized and any special protecting cover is unnecessitated for the casing 17 so as to be possible to aim at reducing in size and in weight.
