CONSTITUTION:Over the surface of a glass plate, a plastic film, etc., a recording layer is formed by applying a paint prepared by dispersing particulates (of <= 0.1mum) of a nonpoisonous metal (alloy) such as Au, Al and Sn in a resin solution or molten resin. This recording layer is irradiated with an He-Ne laser light beam to perform writing and reading with high sensitivity, thus obtaining a recording body which has superior stability in storage.
