Abstract
PURPOSE:To compensate peripheral light depreciation electrically and high-minutely through a simple constitution of circuit, by varying the reference level during an A/D conversion, consequently varying the quantizing step. CONSTITUTION:The input beams are condensed by an optical system 1 and then led into an electric charge coupling element 2, and both the light of a certain intensity and the depreciated light supplied from the peripheral part are applied to the element 2. The output given from the element 2 is amplified by an ampifier 3 and then quantized by an A/D converter 7. In this case, a driving timing pulse is applied to the element 2 from a timing generating circuit 5, and the timing pulse is applied to the converter 7. At the same time, the driving timing is counted by a control circuit 4. Then the control signal of a compensation value of peripheral light depreciation which is stored previously is applied to a D/A converter 6. Based on this control signal, the value of correction is supplied to the converter 7 from the converter 6. Then the reference level is varied when a D/A conversion is carried out by the converter 7. Thus the peripheral light depreciation is compensated with a high precision and through a simple constitution of circuit.
