Abstract

PURPOSE: To make longer the life of a filter cloth, by dispersing a flow of dust-containing gas flowing into a hopper from an inlet nozzle, in order to distribute it to plural filter clothes by means of gas dispersion.
CONSTITUTION: Plural lattice shaped plates 7A, 7B are provided in a hopper 2 near a inlet nozzle 1. With these plates, dust-containing gas flowing into the hopper 2 from the nozzle 1 collides against the plates 7A, 7B, and reduces its velocity, leaving containing coarse particles settling into the bottom of the hopper 2, and flows into filter clothes 3 diluting its dust concentration. Then, a dust collecting load for each filter cloth of plural ones is equalized and reduced respectively. Besides, as the means of dispersing, different arrangements or different underside levels of filter- cloth strips can be used instead of using the plates 7A, 7B.
