Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled plug being in no danger of function loss due to O2 gas blowing cleaning and capable of being used under a highly safe condition comprising arranging a heat removing cylinder having an enlarged opening diameter end provided to a side thereof opposed to a porous brick having one end surface contacted with a molten metal at an inner surface of a ladle.
CONSTITUTION: In a bottom blowing method by a porous plug, a porous brick 3 is supported by a support brick 5 through a spacer 6 and, in a gas vent hole 4 of the brick 5, a heat removing cylinder 7 comprising a stainless steel pipe or the like is inlaid. Further, said heat removing pipe 4 is formed by a method wherein a lower half is made of a stainless steel pipe P1 with an inner diameter of about 2mm and, to an upper end thereof, a stainless steel pipe P2 with an inner diameter of about 4mm is inlaid and both of them are strongly adhered and integrated by welding. As the result, a molten metal invading into the cylinder 7 directly after a bubbling gas is stopped from the large opening diameter end side surface to the brick through cracks of the brick 3 reached to durable using life sufficiently fills an interior of the pipe P2 to generate solidification thereof initiated in the pipe P1 and strong solidified sealing gasket is certainly formed.
