Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a metal oxide coating with excellent spectroscopic characteristics by a method wherein an alkali oxidizing bath comprising a specific amount of NaOH or KOH and a peroxo disulfide is kept at a specific temp. and a heat collecting base plate comprising a copper material is immersed in said bath for a specific time to subject a surface thereof blackening oxidation treatment.
CONSTITUTION: An alkaline oxidizing bath with a bath composition containing NaOH or KOH in a concn. of 2W50% and a peroxo disulfide in a concn. of 2W5% is kept at 30W100°C. When, in this bath, a heat collecting plate comprising a steel plate or a steel plate on which metal copper is deposited by plating or chemical treatment is immersed for 1W10min, the copper on a surface thereof is subjected to blackening oxidation treatment to form a oxidized copper coating with extremely low energy dissipation ratio. Further, when urea is added to the aforementioned oxidizing bath in a concn. of 0.03W1%, it is more effective.
