Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a composition being useful as a rust preventive for a metal structure in a high temperature corrosive environment, by blending a petrolatum base with a specific amount of inorganic fillers and a thickening agent. CONSTITUTION:The composition is obtained by blending 100pts.wt. petrolatum with 40-160pts.wt. inorganic fillers and 1-50pts.wt. thickening agent. As petrolatum, dark green, green, red, amber or light amber petrolatum is preferable, inert silica, clay, calcium carbonate, talk, and the like are used as inorganic fillers and super pulverized silica, super pulverized precipitated calcium carbonate or the like is used as a thickening agent.
