Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent anticorrosive containing an alkali metal or amine salt of cyclohexyl propionic acid as an effective component and being added to a water-containing medium to be used. CONSTITUTION:Cyclohexyl propionic acid is mixed and reacted with an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide to obtain a concentrated aqueous solution of an alkali metal salt of cyclohexyl propionic acid, with which an organic amine is mixed and reacted to obtain an amine salt of cyclohexyl propionic acid. The concentrated solution of an alkali metal salt of cyclohexyl propionic acid and an amine salt of cyclohexyl propionic acid are added to a water-containing medium being in contact with iron such as water in a cooling system, water for hydraulic pressure in tanks and water kept in a full tank. The added amount is in the range of about 0.2-1wt% as an effective component, based on the medium.
