Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a nonharmful anticorrosive for metals containing three components comprising a soluble salt of para substituted benzoic acid, the one of mercaptobenzothiazole and the one of benzotriazoles as effective components and having a pH adjusted in the range of 8.5-11. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution containing a soluble salt of para substituted benzoic acid and the one of mercaptobenzothiazole and the one of benzotriazoles is prepared and its pH is adjusted to a value of 8,5-11. At the same time the aqueous solution contains 1,000-3,000ppm para substituted benzoic acid, 500- 20,000ppm mercaptobenzothiazole and 300-10,000ppm benzotriazoles. As para substituted benzoic acid, p-methyl, p-isopropyl or p-butyl benzoic acid or the like is used, and as benzotriazole benzotriazole, methyl benzotriazole, ethyl benzotriazole or the like is used.
