Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition, prepared by incorporating trithiocyanuric acid, a 1, 3-substituted guanidine, zinc flower, etc. with a nonsulfur modified chloroprene rubber, having reduced scorching tendency, and capable of improving a sharp permanent compression set in a short vulcanization time.
CONSTITUTION: A vulcavizable composition prepared by kneading 100pts.wt. nonsulfur modified chloroprene rubber with 4W5pts.wt. (if necessary variable) zinc flower, magnesium oxide or a mixture thereof, 0.3W3pts.wt. sum of trithiocyanuric acid and a 1, 3-substituted guanidine expressed by the formula (R is phenyl, tolyl or cycloalkyl), particularly 1, 3-diortho-tolylguanidine, as a fulcanization accelerator. The weight ratio between the trithiocyanuric acid and the 1, 3-subtituted guanidine is 95/5W55/45.
