Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide stable operation within an allowable operation range for a generator by controlling an exciting amount according to a deviation of a summing signal of an effective power of the generator and a set point from an exciting amount supplied to a field winding. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 16 gives the difference of a sum of the output of a power detector 14 weighted by K with the help of a multiplier 15 and the output of a field excitation control 13 from a field current or field voltage, to a pulse generator 17. The pulse generator 17 outputs a thyristor 6 gate pulse corresponding to the difference output of the comparator 16 to control an exciting amount supplied to a field winding 5 of a generator 4. This technique allows stable operation within the allowable operation range.
