Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve an accurate measurement not affected by coexistent substances by gasifying ammonia. CONSTITUTION:A specific amount of carrier gas from a cylinder 2 is introduced into a microwave hollow spectrometer 1 passing through an ammonia separator 4 and a control valve 6 and exhausted with a vacuum pump 7. A fixed amount of a sample solution 9 and an alkali solution 10 are sucked continuously with tube pump 14 and mixed with a fitting tube 15. Likewise, a fixed amount of a solution mixing gas 16 is sucked with a fitting tube 15 to increase the sample solution and the alkali solution. Then, this mixed solution is introduced into the ammonia separator 4. An ammonia gas generated with the mixing moves into a carrier gas through a porous film 18 and sent to the microwave hollow spectrometer 1 at a fixed flow rate adjusted with the control valve 6. The concentration of the gas is recorded on a recorder 20.
