Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of sparks caused by short-circuit current without providing commutating poles, by a method wherein a brush section is formed by splitting it into two or more, and a rectifier is provided at the midway of a lead wire in the brush section in the direction blocking a short-circuit current by reactance voltage. CONSTITUTION:A brush section conventionally formed from one brush is formed by splitting it into two or more brushes 1, 2. The width of each brush 1, 2 is formed narrower than that of insulators 5 between commutator segments and connected so that at least either one of the brushes is always contacted with a commutator segment 6. Furthermore, a diode 7 is connected at the midway of the lead wire for brushes in the direction blocking a short-circuit current by reactance voltage as shown in a broken-line arrow. In this way, no short-circuit current will be generated even if no auxiliary poles are provided, and no-spark rectification can be performed.
