Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive to reduce NOX at higher level by a method wherein positions, to which oxidizing burners and NO ports are installed, are reformably changed in the equipment in which groups of main burners, auxiliary burners, the oxidizing burners and the NO ports are arranged over furnace walls from lower stage to upper stage in the order described above.
CONSTITUTION: The oxidizing burners 4a are arranged at the portions near both side walls 1' on a front and a rear walls 1a and 1b of a boiler 1 and the NO ports 5a are also arranged at the central portion on the front wall 1a and/or the rear wall 1b of the boiler 1. Below the group of the oxidizing burners 4a and the NO ports 5a located horizontally in one row, groups of a plurality of the auxiliary burners 3... and of the main burners 2... are arranged as conventionally and a wind box 6 is so provided that all the burners and ports are enclosed therewithin. According to the locations of the burners and the ports mentioned above, O2 within zones 8L' and 8R' near the left and right side walls 1' can throughly be used capable of fully lowering the molar partial pressure of O2 within the zones 8L' and 8R' so as not to be able to give a chance for NO and the like to flow outside and consequently the reduction of NOX in the combustion equipment can be realized at higher level.
