Abstract
PURPOSE:To monitor a speed with simple constitution by providing a speed sensor which outputs pulses with a frequency corresponding to the rotating speed of a rotary body, and by inputting its output to a charging circuit. CONSTITUTION:Output pulses having a frequency corresponding to a rotating speed are inputted from a speed sensor 2 to a waveform shaping circuit 3, which form a pulse waveform having constant pulse width and a constant peak value. The capacitor C25 of a charging circuit 4 is charged by a voltage from a constant voltage source 1 via resistances 23 and 24 with a time constant determined by the C24 and the resistances. When pulses having a frequency corresponding to a rotational frequency are supplied from the circuit 3 to a switching element 5, the C25 is discharged via the element 5. As the rotating speed of a rotary body decreases, the frequency of the input pulses to the element lowers, and while the frequency of the discharging of the C25 is reduced, the charging time is prolonged to increase the stored charge of the C25. The output voltage of a circuit 4 is applied to a speed discriminating circuit 26 and if the voltage exceeds the threshold level of a circuit 26, the circuit 26 sends a warning signal to a relay circuit 27, and then a relay 33 is energized to give warning.
