Abstract

PURPOSE: To smooth the ignition of the captioned apparatus provided with a vaporizer and to stabilize the initial combusting condition thereof by a method wherein a heater for heating the vaporizer is kept energized for a predetermined period of time even after the initiation of combustion.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch 2 is closed and a voltage is impressed upon a control circuit 5, a reset signal is first generated from a reset circuit 14 and a timer circuit 13 and a memory circuit 15 are set initially. In this case, when the temperature of the vaporizer is below T1, signal lines S1 and S2 of a heater thermo circuit 12, which receives the output of a temperature detector 11 embedded in the vaporizer, are at L level so that a contact 3a of a relay 3 is closed by a relay drive circuit 16 and a heater 4 is energized. Then, when combustion is started and a flame rod 21 detects the combustion, the signal line S2 goes to H level, the timer circuit 13 starts counting and after a lapse of a predetermined period of time, the contact 3a of the relay 3 is opened to thereby deenergize the heater 4.
