Abstract

PURPOSE: To display an input picture and a convolution picture at the same time while separating the former from the latter by the center of a picture receiver screen, by forming a no-signal part in a video signal by providing an optical filter on the incidence surface of an image pickup tube in a TV camera which performs unidirectional horizontal scanning.
CONSTITUTION: A picture 13 to be correlated automatically is taken by a TV camera 14 having an optical filter 22 at a part A and performing unidirectional horizontal scanning, and an obtained composite video signal is inputted to a synchronizing pulse separating circuit 10. A separated video signal is sent to and compared by a video signal pulsing circuit 9 with a set threshold level to be converted into a black-and-white binary pulse video signal, which is inputted to a correlator 101. The correlator 101, having ultrasonic-wave optical modulators 5a and 5b opposed in the traveling direction of ultrasonic waves, generates an optical correlation output. A convolution signal obtained by correlator 101 is sent to a mixer 12, which mixes the output of a horizontal synchronous time delay circuit 11, the synchronizing signal, and the composite signal to display the input picture and a convolution picture as the same time while separating the former from the latter by the screen center of a picture receiver 16.
