Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce an amount of flying of toner by making a doctor blade attachable and detachable to a photosensitive drum freely through its reciprocating movement. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating arm 8 is oscillated by a driving means 11 such as solenoid, then a doctor blade 5 is moved linearly through a plate holder 7 to retreat from a photosensitive drum 1. By allowing the blade to do a reciprocating movement freely in the direction of its attaching and detaching to the drum 1, flying of toner is almost eliminated even if the blade 5 retreats from the drum in a short time.
