Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a miniature and light-weight antenna with its vertical face directive properties formed into a desired pattern, by forming a circular ring and asymmetrical slot with a conductor thin plate and a conductor thin substrate. CONSTITUTION:A circular conductor thin plate 6 is set into a circular cavity of a conductor substrate 5 so as to form a circular ring slot. Then the high frequency electric power is supplied to the center of the plate 6 from an energizing source via a connector and a conductor bar. A slot 7 is set wider than a slot 8 with the eccentricity secured between the center of the cavity of the substrate 5 and that of the plate 6, and the intensity of electric field radiated from the slot 8 is set less intensive than that from the slot 7. As a result, a line having the radiation of zero inclines toward the narrow direction of the slot as shown by a dotted line (b), and at the same time an asymmetric radiation pattern is obtained like the radiation pattern properties (c) to ensure an upward radiation component.
