Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce wear by forming a jet needle of a variable Venturi type carbureter with soft aluminium material subjected to surface hardening process and forming a nozzle with free-cutting metal such as brass component having the inner peripheral surface subjected to plastic work.
CONSTITUTION: A piston 3 fixed to a diaphragm 5 hangs in an intake path of a carbureter 1 to vertically move according to intake negative pressure acting on a negative pressure chamber 7. While a jet needle 9 is eccentrically engaged with the bottom of the piston 3 by a pusher member 15, said needle 9 is inserted into a nozzle 10 in contact with the one inner peripheral wall thereof. Thus, since both members 9, 10 are normally making contact with each other, they are subjected to surface treatment respectively to prevent any aging effect due to wear.
